Ok, here I am starting a new blog. If you are reading this it’s probably because you already know me. Perhaps you are a friend who I have directed here or more likely you have followed me on my SocialNicole channels and/or you have been following my business blog (scroll down the page) on my agency website. My business blog is written for businesses to understand social media marketing. My company, SocialNicole an agency built with social media at it’s core, not an afterthought like many agencies, and has been an amazing place to evolve my business principles. The success of four years in business as a leading social media agency has been phenomenal, everyday I am fortunate to be able to work and play in the sand box of social media. And for 4 years I have had the privledge of working with some amazing companies and individuals helping them to grow their digital footprint, build online communities, spread their message while leading to results. Through this the one thing that has continued to evolve for me has been the idea of passion fueled marketing.
What do I mean? The best social media accounts out there are fueled by passion. It’s about individuals being able to stand up and shout about the things they love, it’s about communities growing, shaping and changing because of this open sense of sharing. It is what allows people to take what was once just a dream and perhaps grow it to an idea and someday perhaps a purpose that can not only help them live a deeper life but spread their ideas and thoughts to others. It’s the fact that companies are no longer in charge of all the messages and consumers now have power.
As my own ideas have evolved in this area, so has my need to talk about these ideas, how passion and purpose affect our lives, what we can do to find our own purpose and passions and how digital communications can help. And while I am at it- what does all this mean for the next generation. Hence this blog, a sand box, a think tank, a place to begin a new conversation that discusses what we are doing here in this intersection of purpose, passion and social media and where it may take us as individuals and collectively as a society.
I hope you will stick around as I get started and grow this blog and these ideas.
Thank you for joining me.
